Weaverbird 2-day online course
2013 January 21-22 + quiz – 9:00-12:00 am CET / 9:00-12:00 am PST
Lead instructor Ilaria Giardiello – Assistant instructor Giulio Piacentino
For Designers and Engineers who want to learn a new way of modeling, this webinar will explore the fundamentals of mesh geometry and topological transformation. Through a series of exercises in Rhino/Grasshopper and Weaverbird we will investigate the potentials of the different subdivision algorithms (Catmull-Clark, Loop, Sierpinsky...) and the main polyhedra transformation operators to generate tessellations and, combined with Grasshopper, dynamically investigate complex shapes through their simplified box representation.
The course is taught in English, fully on-line and is structured in 2 session of 3 hours each + an optional assessment quiz to evaluate your progress with Weaverbird.
Once on-board and with some practice, you will be able to master organic and topological modeling in Architecture, Design and Jewelry as well as directly fabricate your results.
The course is tutored by geometrydepth.com and organized by Piacentino Consulenze Snc.
