Event Description

Module Rhinoceros Beginners is intended for architects and designers who are interested in 3D free-form modeling with NURBS. This intensive course covers effectively Rhino primary functionality, including advanced surface modeling.

The trainees will get familiar with the Rhino interface, and will learn to use advance modeling commands in designing three-dimensional surfaces and volumes, with applicability in the architecture practice.


  • Introduction and understanding the interface, visualization and navigation commands
  • Drawing settings, layers and aiding tools
  • 2D lines and shortcuts for solid 3D editing
  • Precision modeling, using coordinates
  • Smart tracking, object snap and construction planes
  • Modeling freeform curves
  • Basic Editing: move, copy, rotate, scale
  • Advanced curve editing
  • Modeling simple surfaces and boolean operations
  • The concept of NURBS, control points, rebuilding curves
  •  Editing curves and surfaces with control points
  • Advanced Solid Modeling: extrude, loft, pipe
  • Sweep, Revolve, network of curves
  • Extracting curves from surfaces and solids
