I have a problem with a intersection of a auxiliary construction. At picture "Ansicht für Verschniedung" you can see the two parts. The red one is the double curved beam, with ist i cut the auxiliary construction. Now i have a hole in the construction, and want to cut it out more, but thats very tricky. How could I do that? The surface is not planar... at the picture "Auflagerkeil" you can see, how I want it.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Hi Christopher- hard to say without the file- can you post or send me the objects?
thanks for your answer. Attached you find the file, with the element I want to cut. The area which is painted red in the picture should cut of. How can I make something like that? Important is, that the surface is not plan.
I forgot the file ;)
Hi Christopher- try this:
ExtractSrf the upper long surface and the short straight surface in the cut.
ExtractSrf Copy the lower long surface.
ShrinkTrimmedSrf all the extracted surfaces.
ExtendSrf the long surfaces by say 200 out past the overall block.
ExtendSrf the small surface top and bottom by maybe 20.
Trim the lower long surface with the short one.
Use all of these to trim the block.
thanks for the support, it works to 99%. I Have a problem at the radius. Look at the picture, I want to trim the upper surface at the radius, but it doesn`t works. How can I do this?
attached you can see the file, i was able to cut everything. It looks perfect in my eyes, but anywhere is a mistake, because its an open polysurface.
I forgot the file, sorry.
Hi Christopher- I extracted and untrimmed the small surface at the radius, where the naked edge is, then retrimmed it with the border curves of the opening it left. Note this surface is huge- you can ShrinkTrimmedSrf when done- to make it a more reasonable size compared to the trimmed piece you see.
