Extruding Curve

Hi,

Can any one help me with a slight problem.

I need to make a elliptical shaped pipe, when I extrude a curve or surface I am left with a solid extrusion that is not smooth, it appears to be made up of a number of flat straight surfaces, where as I need say a piece of smooth drainage pipe.

Can any one help me, is it a setting that needs changing?

I am using Rhino v4.

It's just the render mesh, if you adjust the settings under File->Document Properties it will look better. For some more explanation see http://hydraulicdesign.net/meshes.htm

I had a look at your info, changed the settings and now all is sorted. Head ache has now gone.
