Hi All,

I would like to know how others deal with fading fillets or blends.

The best way I can describe these geometries is:

- When two edges come together at a point with the same curvature.

- Two fillets/blends come together to become one.

Please check out the attached image and file.

The examples I have given I guess are the best case scenarios with simple surfaces.

There are a couple of examples of how I attempted to patch these geometries, however I don't feel that they are that great. ( The surfaces are still not super smooth)

Is there any better ways to deal with these situations?

Cheers,

Derek

Hi Derek - you can tune up the matching between the two washout surfaces with MatchSrf, Curvature (currently tangent) and Average set. The little triangle can be a planarSrf, maybe simpler that way. You can also tune up the Zebra display- click on Adjust Mesh and set minimum quads to a large number, like 5000.
