glitch with rhino visuals

I am trying to create some 3d models to 3d print. When rhino is using millimeters for its units everything looks fine.  Although as soon as I change to inches the model looks very weird and triangulated and broken apart.  Also... when I import the model into Zprint (software for the 3d printer) while in millimeters the model appears at dots.  When I import into Zprint using inches as my units the model comes in much better looking however there are still some weird triangulated dents all around the model.  Any help is greatly appreciated as my deadline is approaching very quickly.
