I know Matrix is from another company, but I'm hoping someone here will have come across this before.  I registered for this forum in about 10 mins, but Gemvision say it can take up to 48 hours to be approved for theirs.

We have a Matrix 7 install coming back with a runtime error 0, then a 429, followed by a message that the ActiveX component can't create object.

The user has rebooted and reinstalled Matrix without any apparent problems but the errors remain.  Rhino is working fine.

Recent history is a catch up on the Windows updates which had been sticking since September. There was no apparent problem, I just installed them manually in date order and the queue is now clear.  Also, Java has been updated from 6 update 26 to 7 update 10.  Only the 32 bit version is installed.  Machine is running Windows 7 64 bit, SP1, 8GB RAM, Core i7.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks in advance

You might Google Windows error 429 - a quick search finds the most likely candidates are a problem with the Windows VB script engine, or some file that isn't registered correctly...   ----H
