Hi guys

It s me , back again with another issue that is turning me crazy.

I have been trying for hours and hours but I can t find a solution to it.

I am trying to places holes on a rounded polysurface using the" place a hole" option (rhino4)

I am attaching an image so it will be easier to understand.

The polysurface looks like a lid, and currently in a group. I created the lid shape using the revolving option from a  profile.

I would like three long and thin rectangular closed curves to cut through the lid , just at the bottom,  but when I try to do that I get three large surface overlapping the lid instead and no holes at all ( right image).

Also when I get asked to select the surface where I wan the holes I can select all the surfaces in the group.

I really need some help here.

Thanks in advance
