Saving stl file in inches units

Hi,

I'm using Rhino 4. I'm saving a model in the stl format that is in inches, however when I open the stl file in Rhino it's always in millimeters. Is there a way to keep the stl file units in inches?

Hi Gary,

STL files have no units, so they just import with whatever the units are in your file. V5 has an option to set the units on STL import.

Hello- STl does not carry any units information- it will take whatever units are current. To force inches, open an Inches template file, then Import the STL file.
