Hi Forum.

How can it be, that if I change the Displaytype to Technical(new in Rhino 5) Rhino instantly shows hidden lines as dotted lines. But if I want to export it as vector graphic I have to use Make2D, check the Hidden Lines box, press OK, and then...waiting, waiting, waiting, often for 10-20 minutes.

My logic tells me that the Technical Display have to make the same kind of calculation, so why is Make2D so terribly slow?

Hi Rune- the short answer is that Make2d is accurate, and delivers curves, whereas Technical is a display trick and is not compatible with getting real curves. You can speed up make2d in many cases by temporarily relaxing the file tolerances. (DocumentProperties > Units). Don't forget to set it back though.
