running rhino 5 on a macbook pro in bootcamp. Last night the program crashed while creating a nurbs surface. When I re-enter the application there is no viewport appearing.
I re-installed, and no change, the viewport is gone.
Spooky, any ideas?
Thanks
Bob

You can try one of the following three approaches to get your default viewport configuration back. The first is the simplest. The next two are just for your information.
First, the scheme can include a template specification - i.e. any scheme can open with a specific template, and the viewport configuration is in the template file. After starting Rhino, use the New command and browse to the file you want to be your starting template for that scheme. In the lower left corner of the dialog, check “use this file when Rhino starts.”
The second option is to manually reset the entire default scheme with Regedit by deleting this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Scheme: Default
Of couse you need to be very careful when editing the registry and it does come with risks.
Lastly, the reinstall did not work to reset the default scheme unless you did a clean uninstall before your reinstall. Details are here.
Let us know how this works for you.
Sincerely,
Mary Fugier
