Comment by Vito Losavio on April 23, 2013 at 8:22am Rajaa Issa has released the first manual for "PanelingTools for Grasshopper Primer (PDF)" , which contains various exercises and the related sample files that can be downloaded separately, with the definitions in Grasshopper, "The Primer Examples and Tutorials" .
Here the page's link: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/panelingtools/forum/topics/relea...

Comment by Matt Sederberg on March 28, 2013 at 8:11am Hi guys,
We're working on enhancing our T-Splines - Grasshopper integration, and exposing more T-Splines features. I'm interested to hear from anyone who is interested in this workflow - we'd like to learn more about what you'd like to do. Please feel free to post comments here or on our T-Splines forum - www.tsplines.com/forum
Comment by ert tree on February 23, 2013 at 1:17am i tried similar think in 2 dimensions (plane). I want to have predifined rest lenghts (imported from excel), knots in 2d are not connected. Should i do it with mesh or spend more time looking for errors.
thx
Comment by ert tree on February 22, 2013 at 3:13pm I was missing a flatten command in kangaroo :)
I uploaded cable to the googledocs, maybe someone is interested...
So how is with the wind?
Comment by ert tree on February 22, 2013 at 2:39pm Hi,
I am working on a hanging line from 2 anchored points. I did it in grasshopper, applied some kangaroo physics. A bit stuck on applying g-force on the cable.
Any suggestions?
I would also like to blow in the cable and strech it with the wind?
Does it have to be mesh to use wind force?

Comment by PurrDaddy on January 14, 2013 at 5:44pm You are the second person to suggest route. I will have to take a look Symvol.
Thanks.
Comment by Janosch on January 14, 2013 at 4:13pm I just Netfabb SSS will build structures out of the exported .STL file.
You might be able to build a grasshopper script building the structures.
Maybe there i a 3rd option (much cheaper than netfabb SSS) to get nice structures (but you will need a fast& powerful computer ;-).
Check out SymVol (a Rhino Plugin from Uformia).
To get more information about their Micro Structures, look here:
They have also touched this topic in their Symvol&Rhino Webcast Vol2 starting around +/-0:25:00 min.
The good thing would be, that you do the structure calculation in Rhino (eventually with grasshopper) so you are free to choose how you "make" your model.
You stay in one program. So if you need to change something it will be done without any problem.
I have not tried it yet, but it seems a really promising way.
Hope it helps,
Janosch
Comment by PurrDaddy on December 30, 2012 at 2:20pm Can anyone comment on: How does Grasshopper compare to Netfabb's Selective Space Structures (SSS)? I am interested in using matrix meshes for my designs. I understand that netfabb SSS creates a very light weight model given its complexity. Does the same happen with an equivalent Grasshopper file?
