The openNURBS Initiative provides CAD, CAM, CAE, and computer graphics software developers the tools to accurately transfer 3-D geometry between applications. This the the same code the Rhino uses to read and write its native 3DM files.

Overview
The tools provided by openNURBS include:
- A file format specification and documentation.
- C++ source code libraries to read and write the file format. Windows, Mac, and Linux are supported.
- .NET Framework support though the RhinoCommon SDK for Rhino.
- Quality assurance and revision control.
- Various supporting libraries and utilities.
- Technical support.
Note: openNURBS is an open source toolkit for reading and writing models in the 3DM format. Our full-featured development platform is Rhino.
