For 2dpanels: Could there be an option to select arbitrary attachment geometry, for example when creating a skin for a surface where the skin’s flat quad panels are to be attached to an underlying fin structure. (See image). Possible options (some implemented by existing functionality): pick an attachment edge, pick 2 attachment edges, pick an attachment point(s), choose the angle at which the panel is attached if one edge/point is selected.  In addition, the angle of the flat panel could vary in response to an attractor point/curve. Another interconnected idea is to allow for the automatic generation of notches in the fins so that panels could be attached to them, for example normal to the master surface and/or with an ability to vary an angle with attractors, etc.

Hi Annie,

I am not sure I understand the first part of your question. It will help to have an example that shows the steps and desired result.

I am working on notches right now and will release something soon. It basically define fixed width and height to be applied to start, end or both (start and end) of panel when using ptExtrudeEdges and ptFinEdges commands.
