Hi all,
Just released a new version of PanelingTools for Rhino 5.0 (64 & 32). Make sure to get hold of the latest Rhino 5.0 Beta.
New in this release:
- Fixed a bug in ptPanel3DCustom. It was broken a returned no result.
- Removed ptGridSurfaceDomain and ptGridSurfaceDomainExact commands from PanelingTools as they seem to be very confusing. Instead broke the functionality into three new commands:
1- ptGridSurfaceDomainNumber: Divide surface domain by number.
2- ptGridSurfaceDomainLength: Divide surface domain by length on surface with option to select a reference point.

I updated to the new release and found the grid from u and v curve intersections component in GH was not working. The command in rhino did work. I had recently installed the latest Rhino update so I thought I should restart.
The issue was still there so I tried to reinstall paneling tools but after removing all instances of paneling tools, (that I could find), I am unable to re-install.
When I run the installer, ( PanelingTools_April1_2012.rhi), it tells me that the package is already installed. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Chris,
Did you get hold of the latest PT-GH (PanelingTools for Grasshopper)?
The next thing I would do, is delete PanelingTools and reinstall. You can get the location of where PT was installed as follows:
- Open Rhino, run PluginManager, find PanelingTools in the list, highlight and select Properties. The link to were the file is will be listed. On my machine it is here:
"C:\Users\Rajaa\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\Plug-ins\PanelingTools {6CAED836-BC06-4EBC-B1FD-E10886A0DC94}"
Let me know how that goes.

I must not have had the latest PT-GH, which is why the component was not working.
The reason the reinstall wasn't working is because I was only unloading paneling tools, not deleting the install. Your suggestion was exactly the right one! Once I deleted paneling tools,(at the path you described), the re-install ran perfect. I then added the latest PT-GH gha to the components folder:
"C:\Users\chanley\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries"
restarted rhino and all is well. The PTUVCrvs component works just as expected!
Thank you for your support!
-Chris
