PanelingTools plugin helps generate 2D and 3D cellular patterns and populate them over rectangular grids.
The plug-in supports intuitive design of paneling concepts as well as rationalize complex geometry into a format that is suitable for analysis and fabrication. The plug-in is closely integrated with Rhino 5 and is widely used for architectural and other building designers.

Does anyone have good solutions for paneling an array of objects over a complex 3D mesh? I am trying to do that, but I haven't had success without Rhino or one of the other conversion softwares I have tried turning my mesh into >10 independent surfaces.
Thanks!
New to paneling tool but happy I found out about it so here goes.I have a 4x4 tile 1/4" thick with a 1/4" fillet. My problem is that when I populate the grid with it, the amount of data it generates slows everything down. How can I keep the floor but reduce the data?
Thanks
I'm using Surface Domaine Length to create a grid on a four sided polysurface. When I make the grid it only allows me to select one of the 4 sides. I want the grid on all four.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Goodday I'm new here -
What are some good forums for asking questions about PT?
Trying to create a 2d pattern. I create a new library pattern and make it 4x4. I can see the points. I try and make line segments and nothing happens. I just defaults to the lower left point and when I try and click any other point it does not create a line segment... I must be doing something wrong? Watched multiple videos and downloaded the manual... can't seem to figure it out.

Its totally ok for now since i have a pinup coming soon and i need to finish my elevation somehow.
So what is your primary source of training on Grasshopper scripting. Coz even though you said youre not good you did it real fast.
For the baking bit i need to create a surface then bake the parameter that is orange i colour?
yes, there are some sliders at the left of the GH canvas, you can change the size of the panel on the weight&heigh controlers, (i used cm), also you can change the Hex_size, offset and the fade factor.
when you are finish and get the desire result, just bake the last parameter into the layer you want. it's not quite the model you have on the img, i made an oval pattern for the fade and on the img you show it's little more irregular, but it's pretty close.
hahahaha nice one bro...thats amazing. youve cracked it in 30 minutes yet ive been trying to work on it for the last 1 week to n avail. so if i want to have it on an 8m high panel i could project it to a panel then scale it up. right?
I also would like to know whether its possible to alter the size of the hexagons
and has modelab been your primary source of information when learning Grasshopper?
you can change the elipse un any curve shape you want for the Hex_radius fade
