I have quite recently purchased a license for Rhinoceros 3D.
Although I am not all new to 3D, I am next to new to Rhino.
The visualization of the thing I want to make looks like this:
The whole surface consist of plywood sticks, made on a cnc router. The final result will not be as sleek as what you see here, the surface will be fluted, made of sticks cut in 90°, the wood will be 3.0 cms thick, actually a wooden shell. I want to design the surface in 3d on Rhino, then slice the whole surface up in sticks in the appropriate width, then arrange the sticks on sheets i 2d that will be cut on the cnc-router. The sticks will be assembled in handable sections with dowels and glued.
I would very much like to ask for your advice on the following:
Which string of commands in Rhino you think would give me the best and easiest result?
From what I gather from different sourches, the most advisable is to create the surface as a solid, with a thickness of for example 3.0 cms. That is: 3.0 cms from the surface and 90° inwards. Then ArrayLinear a number of surfaces through the solid. And then slice the whole using BooleanSplit, trim away what I do not need, and let the aforementioned surfaces hidden in the solid serve as the profile for the dxf-file for the CAM programme.
At this point I encounter the problem of making holes for the wooden dowels that will serve as fortification and adjustment of height/depth relating to the structure that carries the wooden wall. As a consequence of the need for adjustment, the dowel nuts will have to go all the way through sideways, that is; parallel to the strucure that carries my thing. So that I know that when I dowel it together, the individual stick will be at the right place.
However some of the holes are at the edge and have to be removed, which is possible for those that are entirely immersed in the solid, using Solid>Solid Edit Tools>Holes>Delete Holes. But those that are on the edge are harder to deal with. Is there a way that I can make those holes so that they are ”shy” of the surface with a certain distance?
And which will be better for doing the splitting as an object to be cut (the solid of the wavy surface serving as cutting edge); a solid or a surface?
I have tried out a number things but the main problem seem to be that when I make a hole in a Surface, it becomes a pocket, not a real hole. Maybe it all boils down to that I have not yet learned to make a hole in a surface, haha!

Tengo serios problemas, cuando deseo enviar
modelos 3D (stl) a imprimir.
He visto los tutoriales, pero aun asi,
me sigue pareciendo dificil la reparacion de un par de modelos,
aun intentando una u otra manera.
( a veces solamente al aplicar un cambio, surge nueva geometria,
o algun otro error que al principio parecia no existir).
Al mismo tiempo, tratar de reducir una malla,con el comando respectivo, no parece funcionar tan simplemente,
a veces sin comprender bien porque se bloquea, o no realiza finalmente la reduccion de poligonos, aun haber esperado hasta el final.
Asi de una a otra, bastante tiempo, sin poder realizar la reparacion de los stl.
Alguna indicacion para reparar stl >?

Funciona " reparar mallas " ? ( o es solo una prueba)
