I am texturing a model I did with Rhino and VA and I can't do the UV mapping on VA objects. I have to explode it first to get the texture mapping tab in object properties. Is this the only way or am I missing something?
You are right. For some render engines (i.e. V-Ray, Rhino Render...), VisualARQ objects must be exploded if you want to apply texture mappings. This issue is caused by the fact VisualARQ objects are actually Rhino blocks, and texture mapping doesn't work on blocks.
We are aware of this limitation and will work to find a solution.
I’d like to let you know that we have released VisualARQ 1.8.
We have included in this version your request about applying texture mappings to VisualARQ objects for rendering purposes, (and no need to explode them anymore).
