I am texturing a model I did with Rhino and VA and I can't do the UV mapping on VA objects. I have to explode it first to get the texture mapping tab in object properties. Is this the only way or am I missing something?

Many thanks for any advice!

Hi Jiri,

You are right. For some render engines (i.e. V-Ray, Rhino Render...), VisualARQ objects must be exploded if you want to apply texture mappings. This issue is caused by the fact VisualARQ objects are actually Rhino blocks, and texture mapping doesn't work on blocks.

We are aware of this limitation and will work to find a solution.

Hi Francesc,

thanks for the reply. I'll be looking forward all new implementations.

Hi Jiri,

I’d like to let you know that we have released VisualARQ 1.8.

We have included in this version your request about applying texture mappings to VisualARQ objects for rendering purposes, (and no need to explode them anymore).

You have the full new of the new version at VisualARQ’s blog: http://blog.visualarq.com/2014/06/04/visualarq-1-8-available/

Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further requests or suggestions.

Best regards,

Thank you Francesc,

good news, looking forward woring with the new version!
