Pipe command

Hi,I do a lot of roof crush analysis these days. I use either a FARO arm or a scanner to do this work.  With the arm, I create a series of polylines or splines of either a test vehicle or an accident vehicle and compare the two.  Normally I write out the Rhino file to some type of CAD file and import that data into 3DS Max.  Within Max, I can add a radial thickness to the splines or polylines.  It treats this radial thickness as a series of polygons along a path.  Because Max deals mostly with…See More

Text scaling issue

I open dxf files from Photomodeler into Rhino 5.  Besides the geometry that Photomodeler generates, point id's are also created, then I write that data out as a dxf.  Anyway, the text is generally too large when I open the dxf in Rhino.  In Rhino 4.x, I would select all the text and in properties, I change the size to fit my needs and go about my business.  However in Rhino 5, when I select the all the text and then in Properties, change the scaling (size), Rhino just…See More

Dense mesh issues

Hi,I have tried multiple times to write out a very dense mesh combined with NURB surface data with Rhino 5.  It appears to write the file out but when I re-read the file in, I get an error stating that some of the geometry is invalid.  I finally found a solution which was to write the file out as a version 4 format, then it worked!  I would like to send a file to you for evaluation.  It's pretty big so I would have to send it via YouSendIt.Please let me when I can do this.ThanksChuck RogersSee More
