"Hi,  I'd suggest looking at the Clayoo or Tsplines plugins. You can model these forms in base Rhino too of course but it will require more curve set up. I'd probably approach both forms with NetworkSrf and History enabled. "

EM replied to Irene Parra's discussion Trouble with offset and surface
"You're surface comes to a point and there is just no way to make an offset with it.  You can make a copy of it and scale it down.  I copied it from the bottom edge midpoint out .2mm.  Then I used Scale from the midpoint…"

EM replied to Irene Parra's discussion Trouble with offset and surface
"When asking for help, it's helpful to post a file with your question.  Use File>Save Small to it's smaller and you can even zip it up. It looks like when you offset your surfaces, the distance they offset causes them to intersect…"

Patch

I just watched this video and had a question:http://vimeo.com/65322306Can the patch command have a edge deviation calculator?  Or better yet a button to simplify the surface while still allowing all edges to be in tolerance for a future join?  What about an option to automatically join the surface edges that were used during creation?See More

"Atl duplicates an object during drag.  How do you get it to extract a srf?  I'm sorry, I missed something."

"The second picture show's that the bend plane runs along the x axis.  I tried to do this even with a profile crv and it changed in the z as well."

"Hi EM- I would set the CPlane to the desired bend plane, or parallel to it, and then use Project on object snaps to make sure all your pick points stay in plane. -Pascal pascal@mcneel.com"

John Brock replied to EM's discussion Bug with BlockEdit
"I don't know how RhinoGold handles this. Because you're messing with blocks, I made a mesh object, assigned a color texture to the object (not Layer), then messed around with BlockEdit adding and removing objects to the block and I…"

John Brock replied to EM's discussion Add An Osnap
"Here's an easier idea. Place a Point object at 0,0 on it's own layer and Lock it. Then the existing Point Osnap will work for you. If this works for you then make it part of your Template files."
