"Hi Gan- .001 mm should be OK for jewelry. Some people start at .0001 and then, if there are problems joining (naked edges) , back the tolerance out to .001 at the end. It is not a good idea to start at a looser tolerance and them make them tighter…"

Tolerances for engagement ring in palladium?

I mostly use Rhino for designing (mostly temporary) test stands in a combustion lab. But I'm wanting now to design an engagement ring and wedding bands for myself and my Canadian betrothed. Going for palladium because can't afford platinum and wanting to avoid allergic reaction to nickel.Seeking advice from jewelry professionals on whether the Rhino small project default settings are adequate.
