"Hi Gary, You might want to look at using the render tools to create png and jpg files. I use the Rhino rendering tools that come with V5 and enable rendering text"

"Hello- STl does not carry any units information- it will take whatever units are current. To force inches, open an Inches template file, then Import the STL file. -Pascal pascal@mcneel.com"

"Hi Gary, STL files have no units, so they just import with whatever the units are in your file. V5 has an option to set the units on STL import. Jim"
