Hello, Does rhino have a tool which allows me to rearrange 2d shapes for maximum spatial efficiency? I designed a series of irregular shapes, and need to get them laser cut, but to reduce the number of acrylic sheets I'll need to purchase, I want to fit the shapes as snugly together (without overlapping) as possible. (I'm using Rhino 5.3.1 for Mac)

If I've overlooked another post like this I apologize, I did search.

Thank you!

If all the shape is flat. you can use "unroll" commend. that will roll out our 3d form into 2d for laser cut. You can then select all the curve and "export" to Adobe illustrator file. some laser cut took illustrator file only. let me know if that help.

It would be great, wouldn't it? Hopefully someone will comment with a godsend solution.

I'll be exporting my file as .3dm or .ai

that's a great question.  I unfortunately end up doing it by hand and nudging the crvs over to the best of my ability.  That would ROCK if there was such a command though. how are you going to export these curves?
