Please, see the file attached. The curve is a closed polycurve with 4 curve segments. When I try to _Project the polycurve to the planar surface, only the lower curve is projected. Please, see the result in the file attached. It doesn't matter where on the polycurve I click to select it.I stay in Front view during the whole procedure. What do I miss?Best regards,NielsSee More
On the attached file:The inner curve is an offset of the outer curve. The outer curve is a closed polycurve. However, the offset (inner) curve is an open polycurve. How can that be?How to avoid (or repair) that the offset curve is open?I need the two curves for 2rail, but that requires that both curves are closed (or open).See More

Ok. But then my support becomes part of the model. I need top keep them as separate objects because the supports shall be printed using soluble material. Is there a…"
"You can design the support using nurbs surfaces, make sure the supports are closed surfaces.
Convert nurbs to meshes than boolean union the meshes (use mesh tools toolbar).
In the biblical sense you can convert a mesh to nurbs but that is beyond…"
Is it possible to convert a stl-model to a Rhino-model (NURBS)?The actual problem, that makes me ask right now, is that I received an stl-file for 3D-printning. I want, to insert some supports (that the slice-program can't). I think that I need to convert it to NURBS, so that I can snap to it and so on, and make full use of Rhino's tools.I very mush appreciate any hints.Best regards,Niels See More
